Breng de natuur in huis.

Mijn werk weerspiegelt mijn diepe liefde en verbinding voor natuur, voor het buitenleven en zijn prachtige wezens.

Ik hoop hiermee momenten van verstilling en verbinding te creëren.

 

Ik werk met name met acryl-, aquarelverf en houtskool.

Voor de dier-portetten hanteer ik een vrij losse manier van schilderen, waarbij ik probeer de energie, persoonlijkheid en ziel van het dier probeer vast te leggen; vaak met intense focus op de expressieve ogen.

Ik speel ook graag met licht en donker, en schilder laag op laag, waardoor het schilderij diepte krijgt en het dier zelf centraal staat.

Naast schilderen, teken ik ook graag met houtskool. Het heeft iets "oers" waar ik ontzettend van hou.

Het proces bestaat uit het opbouwen van texturen en tonen met potlood, houtskool en grafiet, die allemaal een prachtig scala aan tinten opleveren.

My work reflects my deep love and connection to nature, for the outdoors and its beautiful creatures.

I hope to create moments of stillness and connection.

 

I mainly work with acrylic, watercolor and charcoal.

For the animal portraits I use a fairly loose way of painting, in which I try to capture the energy, personality and soul of the animal; often with intense focus on the expressive eyes.

I also like to play with light and dark contrasts, and paint layer upon layer, giving the painting depth and putting the animal itself in focus.

 

Besides painting, I also like to draw with charcoal. There's something "primal" about it that I love so much.

The process involves building textures and tones with pencil, charcoal, and graphite, all of which yield a beautiful range of shades.
